Our Stories
Acts2faith has been a big blessing in my life and greatly helped me to reconcile my faith and my sexuality. It is through this ministry, through its focus on the gospel, God`s inclusive love, and the reverence for scripture that I have seen many others renew their faith.
Acts2faith builds and encourages people to fulfill their God given potential, to prosper in their relationships, to develop their relationship with God. Christianity is not about dead religion but a life giving, dynamic empowerment for connecting and honoring God and abundant living in every aspect of life. Acts2faith helps people to have a living faith and teaching people to be who they were created to be, themselves as God sees them.

I have been coming along to Acts2Faith now for approximately 12 months and since then I have not only been made to feel welcome, but I have been made to feel fully accepted and loved unconditionally, a first for me in a Christian Church.
I grew up in Church, and constantly been made to believe that I could only be really accepted in the Church if I was straight.
The main stream Churches do an amazing work in many fields, but unfortunately when it comes to being gay they constantly push the “you can change” button…. I have been in so many Churches over the years and constantly trying to change my sexuality to please man (thinking that is what God wanted), had to hide behind many facades over time, been bullied in Church and actually chased through the streets of Melbourne by a couple from one Church, even planned killing myself to get away from the torment of some members, could never stay at a church for too long, always fearful that they may find out I am gay and that I would be made to feel unworthy again.
But now at 49 years of age I have finally found a place to belong, and have finally been made to accept my self for who I am; A Christian Man who also happens to be a gay man and doesn’t have to change for the sake of others,
but who finally has the realization that he is Gay and Loved at the same time.

Hi all my name is Terri and would like to share my joy of finding such a wonderful loving bunch of Christ filled People and what this group does in Acts2faith, and why it has been so helpful and attractive to me.
So much so that finally after many years of searching I finally accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour and was baptised last year on the 12th of June 2011, it just happened to be on Pentecost.
And was also a very special date for another reason!
Yes you see it was 12 years to the day since I had undergone Gender alignment surgery on 12th of June 1999.
However on that day my journey had just begun and many trials lay ahead.
So it was after many years of soul searching and life trials that I came to that special day in June last year 2011, and to my surprise my parents, partner, brother and three friends came along.
Dad and Mum, reminded me of this Date, June 12th before going up to give testimony, and before Pastor Becky Bauer made the sign of the Cross with the water of life on my forehead and my real journey, spiritual commitment and rebirth to a loving God was sealed.
Yes I had found a group of people who truly represent what Christ was and is about, and that is love faith hope and true acceptance, you see, I searched for years for a place where Christ’s spirit could be truly felt and finally in Acts2faith found this at a truly all inclusive Church of Christ.
Acts2faith uses up lifting music, loving group and personal prayer, praise full worship as well as biblically based workshops to bring about life changing renewal to all people no matter where they have come from or where they have been.
And it is in faith hope and love that Acts2faith church shows all who have been lost how to find Christ’s true love.
Or even find it again!
I pray you will also find this when you come along to Christ in Acts2faith
Your sister in Christ. Terri
